Kassym-Jomart Tokayev listened to the report of the Minister of Education and Science on the preparation for the new academic year and the implementation of previously given instructions.
The President pointed out the crucial importance of ensuring an organized start of the school year, emphasizing the need to support children from vulnerable categories when studying remotely.
The Head of State instructed Askhat Aimagambetov to continue working to improve the status of teachers, protect them from performing uncharacteristic functions and ensure the planned increase in wages by 25% from January 2021.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also set tasks to further expand the academic independence of higher education institutions, improve the quality of higher education and develop higher education science.
