In order to prevent a shortage of medicines in pharmacies, an additional stock of 33 most popular drugs is formed to saturate the retail pharmacy network.
The Prime Minister informed the Head of State about the work to increase the volume of PCR testing. According to him, by increasing the number of laboratories up to 124, the population’s testing coverage has been increased by 2.5 times, and the cost of PCR tests has been reduced.
In addition, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was reported on the strengthening of sanitary and epidemiological control at border checkpoints, as well as at transport facilities. At the same time, business entities are gradually resuming their activities in regions with a “green” stable epidemiological situation, if there is no increase in COVID-19 cases.
The Prime Minister also informed President Tokayev about the measures taken to support business entities, attract foreign investment, and provide employment and other pressing issues of socio-economic development.
The President stressed the particular importance of the steady implementation of the plans outlined by the Government, taking into account the pessimistic forecasts of the Head of the WHO regarding the implications of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the coming months.
