The official visit of the President of Kazakhstan to Belgium kicked off with an audience with King Philippe.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that he attaches a special importance to his first visit to Europe after the pandemic. During the meeting, the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic and humanitarian areas, as well as exchanged views on pressing issues of the international agenda.
“You have visited Kazakhstan three times, and you made a great contribution to strengthening cooperation between our countries in various fields,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
During the conversation, the President paid specific attention to the current political reforms in Kazakhstan. The King of Belgians received the information about the political transformations with interest, and the current situation in the economic and humanitarian spheres.
The Head of State outlined a number of promising areas for further cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belgium.
President Tokayev informed that the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions to be held in Nur-Sultan next September and expressed hope that King Philippe will take part in this important event.
