“I am very glad to be here as the President of Kazakhstan. I have met you several times in our country. We talked about many things, and, of course, about developing and strengthening cooperation between Kazakhstan and Tatarstan. We have major projects in our bilateral cooperation. Therefore, I think that these projects will certainly find their embodiment, as long as there is a political will of the heads of both Kazakhstan and Tatarstan,” Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.The Kazakhstan leader informed Rustam Minnikhanov about the productive talks held yesterday with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

Vladimir Putin, in his speech at the press conference, highlighted Tatarstan as one of the most dynamically developing regions of the Russian Federation, and welcomed my decision to pay a working visit to the republic,” the Head of State said.Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also noted the importance of developing cultural and humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and Tatarstan.
“Indeed, there are ties between our countries that go deep into history. In fact, we have common history. I am interested in historical moments. I read articles, books on history. Every time I am convinced and even surprised at how deep and integrated our ties are in historical terms. I fully agree with your opinion that cultural and humanitarian cooperation should develop. In any case, Kazakhstan is ready for this,” the President said.Kazakhstan’s leader highly valued Tatarstan’s dynamic development under Rustam Minnikhanov’s strong leadership and wished him further success for the benefit of the people of the republic. In turn, the President of Tatarstan expressed gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for visiting Kazan and noted the strategic importance of developing cooperation with Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan is a strategic partner for the Republic of Tatarstan.
