Kassym-Jomart Tokayev holds meeting with President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Odile Renaud-Basso

The Head of State held a meeting with President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Odile Renaud-Basso. During the virtual conversation, they discussed prospects for the implementation of a number of investment projects in Kazakhstan in the transit and logistics, decarbonization of the economy, and the financial sector. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of long-term mutually beneficial cooperation with the EBRD.

“We have achieved positive results in our cooperation. I believe that effective partnership between the Government of Kazakhstan and the EBRD will have an active follow-up,” the President said.

Odile Renaud-Basso commended the reforms carried out under President Tokayev’ leadership, outlined in his State of the Nation Address on March 16. The EBRD President reaffirmed her readiness to develop cooperation within the Kazakhstan’s goal on achieving carbon neutrality. In conclusion, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev invited Odile Renaud-Basso to pay another visit to Kazakhstan.
