During the meeting, Magzum Mirzagaliyev reported on the execution of the President’s instructions in key areas of the Ministry’s activities.
In particular, the President was informed on the elaboration of the Environmental Code. According to the Minister, when developing the draft Code, the Ministry took into account public opinion and the best practices of the OECD countries. The draft was submitted for the Parliament’s consideration.
Magzum Mirzagaliyev also informed Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the Ministry’s work on developing new state programs related to water resources management and exploration.
The Head of State instructed the Minister to scrutinize all aspects of the country’s water security when developing the appropriate program. He also and pointed out on the importance of attracting foreign investors to geological exploration.
