
At the Akorda Residence, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova of North Macedonia, who arrived in Kazakhstan on a working visit to participate in the Astana International Forum.
Welcoming his distinguished guest, the Kazakh President noted that her visit coincides with the upcoming 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Astana and Skopje.
– Kazakhstan is keen to develop comprehensive partnership with North Macedonia, and we regard your country as a reliable partner in the Balkan region, – said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
In response, Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova thanked the Kazakh President for the invitation and highlighted the significant potential for further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the two leaders thoroughly discussed trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian cooperation. They reached an agreement to provide fresh momentum to the full spectrum of Kazakh-Macedonian relations.
Particular attention was given to promising areas such as agriculture, transport and logistics, finance, and tourism. The presidents welcomed the decision by the well-known Macedonian pharmaceutical company Alkaloid to open a representative office in Almaty.
The leaders also exchanged views on pressing issues on the international agenda.
